• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Just picked up another 275 gal. fuel oil tank to make into pig roaster. Have some ideas for it. Anybody done one before, or have some ideas to share? Thanks for any input.

If it has been used for fuel oil, how you gonna get that stuff outta there?

Hey Rick,

Where are you from in the great BBQ state of CT? Lot of good Q'ers on the BBQ Brethren Site to help. I'm from SW Conecticut aka the Gold Coast and will do my best to help.

Welcome again to our Web Site! (join date 12/25/04)

Yours in BBQ,

OK BBQ Brethren, need your help!

I am in the process of building one right now. Okay, maybe not RIGHT now, I haven't done any work on it in almost 2 months, its just too cold outside.

I am laying mine flat instead of standing up like most people do them. I sarted by building a metal Rack to hold it off the ground. I plan on putting heavy duty wheels on it so I can roll it up on a trailer to haul it. Havn't got much more than that done so far.

I would love to hear some ideas on how others are making them, pics would be nice too.

Going to do a few good burns in it to burn off all residues. I live in Watertown, Ct. , so I got a few months of cold weather here yet to get it done. Plan on laying it horizontally and cutting it to open like a clam-shell. Will be able to put whole split hog on with no problem. Mounted on trailer to move around. Lots of good ideas so far, thanks guys.
