What do you guys pay for brisket?

You think that's bad...I went to my local meat market and they wanted 2.49 / lb. and they looked like sh#t.

Packer is $1.59 - $1.69 around here. Flats $2.20 and up!

Needless to say - this sucks!

Walmart--$1.28 Sam's--packer, $1.48, flat, I think was $2.69
local grocery store--packer $2.69

Packers (Select Grade)=$1.28 at Wally World.

Flats (Choice Grade and beautiful)= $2.62 at Sam's.

Or 4th of July. Loaded up at .49/lb a couple years ago. Last year I don't think I can remember it ever getting below .79/lb.

I remember the whole family standing in line at HEB with two briskets each! Even the kids had a cart each with two briskets and a $20 bill! And we weren't the only family doing that!!

I can buy corned beef @ $1.29/lb but brisket is nearly 3 times that.

$2.69 here. Occaisionally Smart & Final will have a packer for $1.49.
