• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Brisket price

BJs Wholesale Club in Maryland has been 3.89/lb. I've been eating less brisket recently.

I have some information for Cook. We can get brisket, but can't get good Tri-tip. And you can get neither. :boxing:

How do ya like them apples?

Relevant info my arse.

Dude, get over yourself. LOL

Relevant in terms of regional prices. Please tell me you are intelligent enough to understand that.

I can get both brisket and tri-tip...not sure where you're getting your information.

Anyway, don't be so dag blamed sensitive. Texas brisket prices are going to be much lower than the vast majority of the country. See the "relevance"? :thumb:

If you have a restraunt supply store around you such as Cash&Carry check there my last one was 1.89 but who knows now the way prices are going up

got fired up reading this went to BJs $4.49/lb for choice came home empty handed. The food stores had nice prices a week or two ago for the holidays but not packers only super trimed flats

$2.19 / lb at RD in CT for choice angus as of about 3 hours ago. Found 4 nice ones that had to come home with me.

Ya never know what will be available here. Usually choice but sometime only select is available. A normal price range will be around $1.99 to $2.49, not counting sale prices. We did get some prime for $2.99 ordered in for a comp were were doing. Brisket is always available and various prices. Just throwing this info about our area. Not real interested in slaming or braging about someone else and their region. Pretty childish IMO. We are here to help each other, not blast each other. Geeze!

A few days ago I picked up a whole packer choice at Walmart for 1.68/lb. Normally around 1.80 I think.

Was in my local wallyworld last night, still have USDA Choice packers for $1.38/lb. I almost picked up another, but my freezer is full of leftovers. They looked really good BTW, nice even thickness on the flat, and perfect point. Very flexible too.

FYI, the sell by date on these chunks of cow was 20 days out.

jeez,I priced a flat at Costco here (Charlotte,NC) and it was $5.00 a lb. That sucks.

I posted this in its own thread but its relevant. This was at the Sams in Lenexa, KS.

Peoria Packing in Chicago was asking $3.99 a pound for choice packers today. Given that we're talking at least 35-40% waste, its almost cheaper to buy strip steaks at Costco. Just can't see myself paying over $60.00 for a 16 lb. brisket.

HEB and Randall's (known as Safeway in different parts of the US) had their packer briskets for $1.47/lb for a week last week. Bought two and threw them in the freezer!
