• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Just looked to beautiful not to share!! I found a chunk of brisket in the freezer from my last brisket cook a month ago! Boiled it in the vacuum seal bag for 20 minutes! Let it sit for a few minutes then sliced it! OOH MY GOODNESS! Tastes like it did when it came from the cooker! It was the smallest part of the flat so the one end shaved off which I made a sandwich topped with cheddar cheese and My home made hot pepper mustard on a Onion toasted roll!

This was the last of the 3 packs I packaged and I learned one valuable tip. let it "rest" for a few minutes after You pull it from the boiling water! I didn't do it on the first two and the brisket came out real dry! This wasn't dry at all after I let it rest for a few minutes!

I never frozen a chunk of brisket; I've always sliced first. Interesting.

The slices come back okay too in the freezer bag, though.

So, ... let me get this straight. If I boil my brisket for 20 minutes, it's just as good as if I cooked it on your cooker? I've just got to give that a try! :thumb:

Geez... You were only cooking at 212 degrees! If you would cook at 300 degrees it would have been done in 5 minutes! :tsk:
