• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

In my neck of the woods brisket is hard to come by. At least good ones at a good price. I got a tip from a friend that Sam's had them. Ms Gwen and I went and joined yesterday and sure enough they had some. I grabbed these up and brought them home. 11-1/2 and 12-1/2 pound choice packers. They're in the freezer for now until I get back home. I'll be breaking in the new LSG with them.:icon_smile_tongue:

Iv'e stopped by Sam's in Chattanooga at least 3 times this year and they did not have any, must have picked the wrong days to shop.
Food Outlet in Trenton had a few packers about a month ago for 3.28# but did not look as good as yours. You are correct in saying not easy to find in this area.

Our closest Sam's never has packers, only flats, but the closest Walmart always has them.

Did you ask the meat manager? They didn't have any out but had plenty in the back when I asked.

The Wally's around here don't even know what packers are. Costco has flats for $6 a pound.

Did not ask the manager but definitely will next time. I would love to be able to purchase packers whenever I wanted one.

Those are nice brisket! I wanna dust off the off set for a big cook. Gonna save that for the good weather. The WSM is getting me through the winter pretty well! Can't wait to see how these turn out on the new cooker!
