• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I got a nice small flat about 8 punds yesterday and plan on cooking ot tomorrow. Anyone use Dr. Pepper in a brisket and how is the best way to use it??????
 
Yep, Lots of people. Quick Search woill yiled several threads. Many people use it as the marinade base. Some mop with it, etc
 
wow. you consider 8 lbs to be a small flat? The ones I've seen haven't come close to 8 lbs. I'm a noob, though. Maybe I am buying my meat at the wrong place!
 
never used DP but have been known to "spill" a little bourbon from time to time.

OMG, that is one of the funniest stories I have heard. When I got to the bags splittin open and on, I could hardly read my eyes were shut and watering over.

On topic, yes I have heard of people using the Dr Pepper a lot as a binder.

Didn't use DP on this one. I used Back Country Pepper Blend BBQ Rub.

Well I did the Dr. Pepper marinade and it was great. Unfortunatly we ate and froze it before I was able to get some picures.
