• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Thanks to extremely valuable advice and photos from Kickassbbq..I modified my Pro Smoker....instead of using a pie pan and doing the bending thing..I found a piece of 1/8" aluminum in my garage..I cut to 11"x 6"...then I removed the 2 side screws of the FB and marked the piece of aluminum to fit . I then took the aluminum and drew lines where the screws would go and then took my angle grinder and cut slots into both sides. I got 2 wing nuts and installed the aluminum slide and PRESTO!!! I now have a sliding baffle that is simple to adjust by just loosening the wing nuts and sliding the baffle up or down the slots as needed..I also took a coffee can and cut it up the side with tin snips, then cut the bottom out and inserted it into the smoke stack 1" from the cooking grate...I can't wait to start smoking some ribs tomorrow....I've got a wood fire buring in the FB right now to SEASON my baffle and coffee can extension..Thanks for the help guys!!! This Site ROCKS!!!!!!!!..Wi-Doe-Maker

I also use fire bricks in my Brinkman offset SnP.
I'm happy with the results and think it's a great idea to keep them wrapped in foil.

My baffel and tuning plates were built based on a post by "ALIEN" off the Somke Ring board. Hopefully you will be able to post a few pics so we can see the mods.
