• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

The wife and I took a day trip down to Gulf Shores yesterday, man it was nice. Anyhow we always stop and the Outlet malls and go into Le Gourmet Chef, a cooker's wet dream. I was browsing through the BBQ section and noticed they had Bone Suckin' Sauce for a pretty good price. I really like the stuff, though its too sweet for a lot of people. I picked up a gallon of their 'Thicker' style and then ran into something i've never tried before: their 'Rib Rub'. I bought it as everything I've had from them has been good and will be giving it a test run tommorow. I couldn't resist on the drive home and had to taste a little:oops: . Man does this stuff have a distinct, but very very good taste. I can't even put my finger on it, but is different and I pray to the BBQ gods that it comes through on the ribs. Has anyone here tried that stuff? I'll be postin back this weekend to let you know how the ribs come out!

I haven't even seen that, AGB, so I'm waiting for your report!! I absolutely LOVE their sauce.

never even heard of it out here. But I live in the BBQ equivalent to nowhere ... Looking forward to hearing and SEEING your ribs though.

I can get the Bone Suckin Sauce here, the Local Cracker Barrel Restaurant handles it...they dont have the Rub though...Looking forward to Your post on the how the ribs come out !! You brothers that want to try the sauce Might check the Cracker Barrel if there is One close to You !!!

Update, I have two slabs of spare trimmed St. Louis style rubbed down with the rub. I have taken pictures to doccument the whole thing with a borrowed digital camera. I won't be able to post the pics till Monday night when I give the camera back and get the photos put on a cd. They look good guys. I'll keep you up todate on everything. I have another thread titled Rib Advise about cooking these ribs in a rushed manner if you want to check it out.

Well, after one use the jurry is still out. I used a decent amount on the two slabs I cooked this weekend, it wasn't packed on like i'd do a brisket or butt, but I didn't go light either. Couldn't really taste anything special, now mind you that means I didn't taste anything bad either. The people I cooked for really liked the ribs. I think this rub goes well with a sweet sauce. Next time I cook I'm gonna use more than I did this time and try the ribs dry.

I order Hot sauces for my store and my distributer has the full Bone Suckin line. Their rub is great but I still like the Bone Suckin Hot Sauce best.
