• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I know it was discussed in the past but i wanted to see if any of y'all have had a chance to compare the 2 and if so, your thoughts. I want to change up my competition rib sauce and am considering one of these. Thoughts??

not nearly the level of brad or Scottie, but I had some success this year with the champions blend on properly cooked ribs and pork.

I found the new Champions Blend to have a bitter after taste, I believe it's from the liquid smoke. Just my opinion.

I've noticed this too. I think if they backed off the LS a touch it would be much more palate pleasing.

A few years back somehow I found out that lemon juice cuts back on the liquid smoke taste. I was messing around with some head country. Even here in TX blues hog can do well, I've found some love it others .. not so much!

I think blues hog does so well cause it's a bold complex sweet sauce and when it's cut with Ten. Red it adds some tang and cuts back a little on the sweetness. With that thought I'm playing around with other sweet sauces and trying to make them my own.

Im gonna be trying a couple racks with BH and a couple with Swamp Boys. Cant wait to taste the differences.
