• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I got my new blackstone 28 griddle for my birthday. I was wondering about hooking into a system that was already in place when we bought our house. There was a gas grill connected to this, but we ditched it because it was rusted out. We have this tank on side of house that runs our hot water heater, stove, and fireplace starter. Can I just hook the blackstone regulator to this stub on the back deck?

Would I need to do anything else?

you will need to know if this stub is regulated at the tank, if so you will not want to use the Blackstone regulator. i can't believe you have a propane tank that close to your house, down here we have minimum spacing of about 20 feet and gas companies will not fill it any closer.

You also need to know if the tank regulator is low or high pressure system. My tank is next to my house.

Yes, blackstone has a regulator. How do I determine if regulator is at tank? Or if hi or lo?

Is the tank natural gas or propane?

Thanks for all the info. When I get home I will have to explore the tank more and figure out what I am dealing with. The wife has had it filled a couple times, but I have never really messed with anything gas related.

I would call the service company that your wife had fill the tank; mine does the kind hookup you are facing for free AND will perform a safety/leak detect while the are at it. Cheap insurance?

I would follow this advice.

Not a bad idea. I will see if they are available to come hook it up for me.
