Who is B J's? where are they? I live in South Dakota do you think that this info is relevant to me? It is only significant to people in your neighborhood. I do not understand this post on a nationwide website.
Post on how you cook them, now that is important and relevant. even in SD.
I guess I touched a nerve here because I did not know BJ's Market. Still don't. I was not trying to be offensive, simply factual.
I don't think you touched a nerve with anyone because you did not know what BJ's Wholesale Club was... I think it was more of the pious attitude when you said "Who is B J's? where are they? I live in South Dakota do you think that this info is relevant to me? It is only significant to people in your neighborhood. I do not understand this post on a nationwide website."
Simply put there are 70,592 members in the BBQ-Brethren, each and every one of us are just one individual member, not every post is going to interest or help every one of our members. We all have topics that interest us and many topics that do not. But rather than rant about something that doesn't interest us as individuals, we simply move on to another thread of interest or another forum.
We all have many various types of cookers as a collective whole, and if we whined because someone posted about their smoker that wasn't relevant to our usage, the forums would be full of messages like yours completely counter-productive to our goal of helping each other.
I was not trying to be offensive, simply factual. To those offended I apologize sincerely. Forums are places to exchange information.
Yes forums are a place to exchange information and that was the purpose of this post. Many people take advantage of sales that they may not know about. You will find that our Brethren in Texas will post Brisket sales prices there all the time, no one complains that it isn't relevant to them in their are, because if it helps a single Brethren it severed it's purpose.
You will find as you spend time in the forums that threads with little interest to the Brethren will basically have no responses and they just disappear as they move to the end.
There is no need to apologize, just read and reply to your personal interests and what doesn't interest just move on to another post of interest. Remember we are a group of 70,592 and the forums do not rotate around any single individual person.
As a new member we all welcome you to the BBQ-Brethren, Common Sense, Courtesy, and Mutual Respect for one another will take you further in your quest for information than abrasive types of posts will.
