I am looking for a nice outdoor griddle. I know most people on here are Blackstone fans. What is the best price that you've seen for a 36" and where at? From doing some searching, it seems Cabelas has the 36" on sale for $249 with Free shipping. I have one in my state so I'll still have to pay tax even buying online. Amazon has it for $279 with free shipping. I'm not set on a Blackstone particularly. I just want a nice outdoor griddle. Any ideas?

I have the black stone and love it. I bought mine full price from lowes. That being said I wish I would of got a camp chef setup with the griddle attachment. Would of saved me around 100$ and would be better to take camping. You can also use it for a outdoor burner where the black stone is strictly a griddle. Yes it is alittle smaller but I only remember one time I had the black stone packed.

I also bought the camp chef for the portability of the unit for tailgating and camping, as well as the interchangeability of the cooking options. (Dutch ovens, deep fryer, oven, boiling water, steam pot, and of course griddle.)

overstock usually has a good price on it. If you search promo codes and/or you are ordering from them for the first time, you usually can get free shipping plus a discount on the item.

Just checked and with a 12% coupon, you can get the 36 for 245.51 with free shipping.

I would get the camp chef griddle from outdoor cooking. They are on sale for $299. Has a removable griddle with grill grates below so you can use it as a grill or to put a dutch oven on. Additional features the blackstone doesn't have:

1) Adjustable legs so you can level everything out.
2) Igniters on every burner.
3) Two storage shelves below.
4) Grill grates (blackstone charges $85 for these via amazon)

Only downside is the blackstone is larger. 756sqin vs 604sqin of cooking space.

20% off coupon at bed bath and beyond is the best deal I've heard of on here for the blackstone.

The $249.00 and free shipping is the best I've seen for awhile.
I got mine from Target when they were $239. last summer.
IMO they are well worth the price.

I'm a black stone owner! I don't need to use it for camping and other things that would require owning something like the camp chef. For home cooking I couldn't ask for a better cooker than the black stone griddle. I paid full price 300 bucks for it last year. Worth every penny. So anywhere under 300 bucks is pretty good IMO.

I appreciate all the replies from everyone. I have a commercial gas griddle in the trailer we sell out of. I was just wanting something to have on the back porch a little closer to the door. I'm still undecided on what to get. I don't ever camp, and if I did I have another 3 burner cook stove that sits on a table for that occasion. The 36" Blackstone for $249 with free shipping is looking pretty good.

Just got a 36" Blackstone Stainless for $280 using a 20% off coupon at bedbathandbeyond.com

I have the Blackstone tailgater and use it for camping, better than a camp chef and cheaper @ $179. I love the ease of use and it is portable.

Has anybody bought just the cooktop itself and used it on top of another gasser?

(like, say, a Turbo 4-burner  )

I like the idea of the Blackstone griddle, but don't have the real estate for a whole nother piece of equipment...

Blackstone 36" at Tractor Supply with 20% off so, $240 plus sales tax.

No waiting (almost), 15 minutes to load it in the pickup, ~10 minutes to get it out and, ~10 minutes to find a 20# propane tank with gas in it. Yum yum.

Just for clarification, there are two different categories of Camp Chef griddles. One is the griddle that goes on the portable camp stove, the other is a flat top griddle extremely similar to the Blackstone. There's a thread around here somewhere comparing the two.

I got one off Amazon a few weeks back for $260 I think. The burgers I've cooked on here so far are amazing.
