Hi, everyone. Any opinions on what's the best current BBQ restaurant in NYC? I was at Hill Country on 26th street soon after they opened several years ago and loved it. Though I was reading a few recent reviews and I'm wondering if they've fallen off a bit. Also, read a review from Daniel Vaughn who thought it was sort of ho-hum.

I've read good things about Mighty Quinn's. I tried their location in NJ a few months ago and thought it was OK but not great.

I would love to try Fetta Sau or BrisketTown in Brooklyn, but I don't think I'll be able to make it there for this particular trip. I've had Blue Smoke and Dinosaur BBQ in the past, but they are a little out of the way for this trip.

Any ideas?

Hill country bbq is hands down the best imo. fette sau is good as well but I think hill country rocks

I'm sorry when i hear BBQ and NY City this comes to mind.

It's been a couple of years, but I hosted a team dinner (business meeting) at Blue Smoke and it was very good.

HI Dinosaur BBQ has a place in Newark. I tried Mighty Quinn's 2x, 1st time was real good( ribs), 2nd time not so good, ribs were not meaty or tasty.

Thank you, everyone! I have been meaning to try Dinosaur in Newark. I ate at the original one in Syracuse a few times many years ago when I visited my bro at the school. The Newark one would be a great spot before or after catching a Devils game.

I want to try Fette Sau and I bought the guy's book, but thinking this time maybe will stick with Hill Country. Had it years ago but then had actual Central Texas Q a few months ago. Will be interesting to try it again and see how it measures up. Incidentally I'll be back in Central Texas in a few months. Will be busy but will have to carve out some Q time!

Thank you again, everyone!
