Some of you may remember a few months ago I posted about picking up a hasty bake legacy 131 in Wichita. Today is the first day I have had much time at home and the time to give it a look see to see what I was in for. As you can see in the pics it appears it has been used a lot and cleaned, well, NEVER!
I think the first thing to do after removing as much ash as possible is to start the disassembly process then spend some quality time with the ‘ol wire wheel. I am not sure just yet how I am going to go about patching the small rust hole but for fear of losing my “redneck” card I am sure I will come up with something. I do have a new charcoal grate and new cooking grates already here. If you notice the pics of the hinge you can tell it is not the right set up. I haven’t found where I can order the right hinge but then again I forgot about it when I order the grates from Backyard Bash.
Any and all input, tips or suggestions are welcome.
[FONT="]Follow the link to the before pics, since this is my busy time of the year I figure the “after” pics will be a while in coming
