Before each cook?

Any stickburners out there spray grates down Pam or cooking spray each time?

No. Not the grates. I do spray the inside of my firebox after each cook to help prevent rust.

only spay with a dusting if it got a little hot in a spots and looks like rust is starting .

Yep ,I do .It's like seasoning a cast iron pan,the more it gets seasoned the better it cooks.

Not my grates, but I do hit the inside of the cooker, firebox, and my gaskets.

I hit the gaskets before and after now that winter is here because a corner was froze to the door yesterday.
