Been some time...

It has been a couple of years since I was on here. My wife and I had a motorcycle wreck and it has been a long couple of years. But, things are getting back to normal and she bought me an egg for our 25th anniversary. (I know a lot of you don't like them but my UDS was done and it really is awesome!)

Anyway, I have family coming for dinner so this morning I put on a Butt and a Brisket flat. I thought someone might like to see it.

I hope everyone here is doing well, I will post some pics when it is done!

Thanks Guys! I am sure it will turn out nice. I have Plowboys Yardbird on the pork and Plowboys Bovine Bold on the beef. Had really good luck with both.

Gary, the pork butt is only about 11lbs. I just don't know how to copy pics very well. The whole thing looks stupid!

Welcome back brother. After 30+ years of riding scooters I sold mine after my best Bud went down, I too am a 45 fan as in 1911 in 45.

That is where the 45 came from Brother! Yeah, I lost my Harley in the wreck and almost my wifes leg. I would like another one but she is having none of it. I guess I will stick with smoking meat and die of heart trouble! :wink:

I guess a guy could do worse than a Kimber and an Egg...

The UC II are really nice! I am glad you enjoy it. This one is the HDII it is in the 4" combat commander style. Kimber is quality, just like the egg!

The brisket and pork are looking great. I will post pics later.

I know the feeling. My bud and 20 years riding bud went down to avoid a car. I think it was 27 pens in leg and broken hip. The guy could ride circles around me. I sold mine and he is still laid up.

I got 9 1911's 2 revolvers, one double stack 9mm. My favorite is my Dan Wesson 45 guardian (commander size). I trust it over all others.

My favorite thing is hanging in the yard cooking on the patio with my dog

Nice stuff. Never shot a DW 1911, the revolves they made are nice. I have a few, really like to have a Les Baer TRS but that is a lot of $$$

Yeah, we were hit by a 23 year old idiot. Came across three lanes of traffic into us. On his phone and not even looking out his windshield. I heard he was out smoking weed all night the night before.... no insurance.. you know. Miss the wind but not much you can do anymore. People are idiots and that is without the cellphone....
