• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

With all those cattle trapped in Colorado and neighboring states and another storm on the way this weekend they could lose a lot of them causing the beef prices to spike some time next summer. Now I know it's not all the cattle but when the National Guard has to fly in hay bales then it's bad and covers a larger area than most think.

Just something to think about if you have any large cookout plans this summer.

I also heard that beef should only go up by 2 to 3 cents per pound.

brisket for comps

I suspect anyone with a freezer should run out now and buy a case of brisket for competition. I think it is going to be pretty bad

It means they aren't eating grass, and that the meat supply is about to increase in the not too distant future.....unless they are pets:grin:

Since I live in Colorado I can tell you this, with the Illegal Alien round up at Swift Beef Plant out here in Greeley Colorado, and now this storm we are kinda screwed. Ive been trying to pick up a couple of briskets for TWO weeks now with no success because Swift has been so back ordered and because they havent been able to catch up from the storms and the days they were shut down.
My Brother lives in Nebraska and is telling me the same thing, Good thing I have friends who raise cattle out here, maybe the best way to get contest meat this year.

Oh well..I just will stock up on Pork Butts then..I hear the price on them will be dropping!!!!.....Wi-Doe
