I had a craving for BEANS!! Bean soup that is... looked around for recipes, combined a few and came out with this, kinda, sorta and Italian Bean soup, if theres such a thing. I couln't use Ham Hocks, cause my wife is allergic to MSG, and Sodium Nitrate + Nitrite...
Short ribs, Italian sausage, browning, Beans cooking, I used Red Kidney beans, and White beans, (What is white beans anyway?) They didn't have white kidneys... Simmere the beef about 1.5 hrs, added 2 cans tomato sauce, 2 cans Italian stewed tomatoes, beef and chicken broth... Italian Seasoning, Basil, Garlic, Cumin, salt and pepper... added potatoes, carrots and onions... added the sliced italian sausages and came out with this!...Don't know what you call it, but it was pretty darn good, heck my youngest boy ate it, so it must have been good!:p

Roy, that looks awsome bro. Nice combination of flavors. Around here, white beans are also called Navy beans. Had a bunch of those in my tour with Uncle Sams Canoe Club. Enjoyed it though. Not familiar with white kidney beans. Oh, were you going to send me a sample? Aloha brother!

Looks great. I'm sure it was delicious with everything you put in there. That is basically the way my mother makes pasta fasoul, just need to add pasta and leave out the potatoes. Nice job.:thumb:
