Wow ..that's a labor intensive meal. Looks awesome.

I don't know if there's been a taco throwdown yet, but I'll go ahead and name Boshizzle the hands-down winner! :thumb:

What is going on here? Is that tortilla soaking in something after the wax paper smashing?

You tricked me with beef and pork and ended up with fish. Reminded me of something else in the freezer I need to cook up. Great job... I just need some cabbage and I am set. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Thanks, brethren, The tacos were very tasty.

Prudog, that's a pic of the tortilla dough under the pyrex pan I use as a tortilla press.

Nice job~! Used that Maseca for the first time last week...does it "peel" off the surface, being that thin?
Love those colors!

Boshizzle, Does the dough have to be chilled to press? Those look awesome. I have failed at tortillas consistently.

work3fish4,

There is no need to chill the dough. Just make sure you use warm water and let them rest for at least 30 minutes before you press them. Also, let them rest after you eat them. I let them sit uncovered for about 20 minutes and they get nice and pliable.

keale,

Thanks. I used a little of the corn flour on the bottom sheet of wax paper that helps prevent sticking.

Well dang, I got me a tortilla press now... I just accepted today that things are not as obvious to me lately at only 42-3/4 years old... and now this. If I live to be old, I am gonna be screwed!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate the post and pics and confirmation that I am getting... is senile the right word?
