Hi all,
This isn't so much an entry of my travel, but a plug for my all-time favorite BBQ joint in case any of you are heading towards Minnesota, more specifically Rochester, MN.
If you're in town visiting the Mayo Clinic or even within 100 miles of Rochester, John Hardy's BBQ is a must! This is the one restaurant that I've missed like crazy since moving out to the food mecca of the west coast.
Typically I go for the combo dinner plate and get the ribs & pulled pork and a side of fried okra. The plates come with a very healthy serving of meat and sides! The sauces are excellent, with a nice range of heat. I usually go for the big-boy hot which leaves me needing much beer and sweating like a madman by the end.
It's not much of a review, but I can guarantee that you'll be a happy camper if you stop by John Hardy's.
