BBQ in Branson Missouri

Had some BBQ in Branson Missouri while on vacation. Went to a new place called Doc's Hickory Smoked BBQ Roadhouse. 9 of us did not care for the food that we got. The ribs were under cooked and the brisket was real fatty.
$17 for a half a rack of ribs and fries. Not one person asked "how was your food". I guess they already knew.

That same location was Shorty Smalls BBQ. Shorty had the best ribs I had eaten.

A number of years ago my in-laws told me about a new barbecue place they'd just found in Branson, and how they were looking forward to taking my wife and kids there.

It was a Famous Dave's.:laugh:

Thats too bad. There are several places in Springfield that are really good. One that is right across from Bass Pro that I can't remember right now.

We saw that place. Heard it was real good. Parking lot was packed and we didn't want to wait.

Heck if you're driving all the way to Branson just plan a day to drive to KC while you're on vacation, and hit up the joints up here. It's not BBQ but hit up Lamberts in Springfield on your way for lunch. Granted Branson is like 3.5 hours from here, but Oklahoma Joes, Arthur Bryants, and Jacks Stack are worth it.
