• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

New to the site and really am enjoying it but have a question (what newbie doesn't).

I see lots of recipes posted in Q-talk (have done one myself) but when I go to the site for the Cookbook it looks like it hasn't been used since about 2010.

Has cookbook fallen by the wayside? Are recipes just posted to Q-talk?
Is Q-talk the right place to post them?

I enjoy sharing recipes and looking at what others are cooking but want to make sure I'm not doing it wrong from the get go.... :decision:

Thanks

it up there and active.. 20101 is when it was installed...members have entered recipes and I have to go in and release them.. but I dont believe the dates get updated though.. so dont go by date.. I just released a bunch last week..

Its really been hammered with spam.. we have over 400 recipes in there, but what members DONT see is the thousands of spam entries in there. I just cant keep up with deleting them.

not really.. its not worth it.. there are 15 pages x 50items per of bullchit in there, but they are unapproved/inactive. If I can get the cpanel access to the sql tables, i can delete them in bulk, but as it is now, they have to be deleted one at a time. Theyre just rotting away, but the recipe front end is good.
