• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I've been unusually busy lately, but I still manage to check craigslist on a regular basis to see what treasures people are getting rid of. I find that most grills and cheapo smokers are like pianos and ski boats...When someone decides to be rid of one, they will almost pay you to take it off their hands! I've been looking for a Santa Maria grill for some time now, and finally found one for a very reasonable price on CL. I had to jump through a few hoops to get it finally, but I'm glad I did. And for the first cook, I thought I'd do the Bacon throwdown and cook some bacon-wrapped ribs...

Here's the newest addition to the family:

So, I admit that I'm a bacon addict:

And while not *everything* is better with bacon:

Ribs are not one of these things:

Ribs can *definitely* be made even better with bacon:

The only picture I didn't get was the pile of bones that were left after this cook was devoured. I'll definitely have to cook up another rack or two ASAP! Thanks for looking!

Looks Great but I have to disagree - Bacon does make everything better!

Love the new grill!

I wouldn't mind trying a few of those bones and congrats on the CL score, nice looking grill.

Nice score. I've been looking at Santa Maria's too. Way cool on the bacon ribs.

You're basically local to me...glad I snatched this one up before you did

BTW, I noticed there's a Klose 20x42 listed. Have no idea how good the price is tho/

Hey I appreciate that. Yes I did see that pit and it's pretty sweet (like all Klose Pits:grin:) but there were a few drawbacks on that one. Dave has spec'd mine out personally after lots of convo and this is my dream pit. It will be fun to think about what's next after the stickburner.

Definitely the SM pit a possibility and look forward to your cooks. Load that baby up with tritips and lobster- let's see some FY-er🔥🔥🔥 neighbor!
