Ash & Pear

Greetings, I have seasoned ash wood and I will be pruning my pear trees. Does anybody know if either of these wood types might be good for smoking? Thanks

Pear is good to use, but i'm not sure about ash as we don't have any around here.

Ash will give higher BTU. Mixed with other smokin woods is ok!

I've mixed Ash with Oak and gotten a good flavor out of it.

Ash burns hot & fast. I use it all the time and think it works best on beef.
