• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I went to my local butcher today lookin for Dino ribs. The looked at me like I was crazy and told me he had beef country ribs. This will be my first beef rib cook so some of terminology is new to me. So can anyone let me know what I've got please.

You got beef ribs aka Dino Bones- bigger if you get the beef plate ribs. CSR' are pork roasts or loin end cut to consistant width or shoulder or near the shoulder :-))

Beef is really good- not necessarily cheap
CSR's good can often be found under 99c#

Next time request beef plate rib 4 Bone. They are a real treat.

Will they cook the same?

I was planning a low slow cook about 250 for about six hours. 3 on smoke 3 wrapped with broth.

That's the video I watched that got me to try beef ribs. But as mentioned above the cuts of meat don't look the same. Similar in thickness but different looking cuts. Anyway they are on now.
