• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

I just aquired an old cooker this morning. The label has partially fallen off but I can see "Coleman Charcoal Outdoorsman". I was looking for it on the www but could not find it. I need to see what else I need (besides cooking grates) before I can get cooking. I have the cooker & lid, and what looks like a large water pan. The pan might even be where the fire goes. What else can there be?

is this it?

Thats my first pit (not coleman, the one pictured.

charcoal pas would sit on the bottom, just at the legs. Next up is the water pan supports about mid door. On that same support is lower rack. At the lid is rack #2.

I believe upper and lower were the same rack size (unlike the WSM which has a slightly larger top grate with handles.

I'd look here for parts, then try to find them cheaper at Bass Pro or something:

Thanks for the insight Bill. Using this as a "guide line", sounds like I need a charcoal pan and a couple of racks and I'll be good to go.

I have a Brinkman POS that I keep around to remind me why I got into the smoker building business.
