• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Aprons, Who Uses Them To BBQ?

I got myself the kitchen warrior apron posted here a while back. I've ruined too many shirts.

Yup, that was me. I haven't actually worn it yet but I could see it coming in handy when doing big cooks or when I have to reach inside a UDS. Being that it is winter, I usually have more clothing on and that means more things to dangle and get dirty.

I'm ordering this one today. It has a beer holder.

I have about a dozen or so plain white aprons and use them when catering and at contests. Gives a more professional look and keeps my cloths clean. Nothing worse than injector juice shooting out of a brisket or pork butt with a bee-line to your chest.

I just wear a plain white T-shirt, like Mel from the TV show Alice (you young farkers will have to google that). Handy for wiping your hands too.

Chef's coat??? Hmmmm, I'm liking that idea.

Not an apron man myself although I must admit I haven't tried. The few times I can remember wearing one it was a little restricting. I'm a fast mover when I cook and I think it would be like a potato sack race for me.

that's what the top of a shoebox and a playing card are for :thumb::thumb:

Hmmm and here I thought it was the inside of the Beatles White Album and a drivers license. Apparently I was misinformed in college.

I received one as a gift that sat in a drawer for a couple years before I finally got smart and started wearing it. Now I use it all the time while prepping & cooking.

I wear an apron all the time...partly because I'm a messy cook, but mostly because I enjoy listening to my kids complain about how ridiculous I look. :-P

Well I do have to wear one at work, which matches my t-shirt as well. Should have gone with the blue shirt for contrast

After ruining a few custom tshirts w/ our logos on them, I sacked up and started wearing one on a regular basis. As luck would have it, a friend of a friend got me an apron from The Jack. Nice logo and it's black. Perfect for hiding stains!

I got an apron for Christmas tho I prefer to call them Chest Chaps. :becky: Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I will tomorrow cooking ABT's and MOINKS.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
