• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

My buddy MIke in MD bought this at Sam's over the weekend for $569. Insulated, stainless, 24x24x64 - only gas powered though. He's gonna try converting the bottom section to run on gas or wood. Unfortunately he didn't take a photo inside of the bottom section.

Don't remember seeing one of those.

Stainless, insulated - Nice commercial style shelves. I've seen the big block version of Brian's cooker in Sam's and it too is gas, stainless, and insulated (I think it's around $365 or so). I've never see this one - at least not yet.

If I was your bud I'd leave it like it is - it's optimzed for gas - installing a fire box and cutting draft holes will be a chore not to mention clean out. But then, some guys like the challenge! :D

I saw this unit for the first time today online. Have not seen it at the club. I have the other SS smoker from Sams. It is by Great Outoors. Mine is double walled, SS outside, not sure on the inside, but it is not stainless. It sells for $325. It is a great smoker for the $$$. This looks a little smaller in the smoker area, but hard to tell from the pictures.

On this one, can we get a picture with the bottom door open? It looks like the bottom door allows access to the wood box/burner without dumping the heat and smoke from the smoke chamber, which is a good idea.

Saw the GReat Outdoors model at Sam's this weekend. Of course they had it up on a shelf where you couldn't really check it out. Didn't look bad.

I got to fondle the one at Sam's and I found it to be a great looker but it was thin and cheap to the hand.
/shrug.

If it ain't black iron.... ;)

Looks like a flimsier version of a Spicewine smoker. Of course, it does have that cool signature chrome smokestack either.

I am sure he will have no issues with converting that to run some smoke. Even if he has to get one of the pellet feeding augers like they use on sausage boxes. Now I cannot find that damn link to those augers! ARGG!!! They are almost 200 dollars I think.

My brother sent me a link to some pellet smokers he found up Oregon way. I think they were more than two hundred bucks and the very PC-ness of them disgusted me!

Seen it Sam's. Two small drawrs to put wood chips in. Looks nice but there really isn't much space in the smoke chamber. I do like the door closure and clasp though.
