• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Anyone Had This ?

No, but "Jalapeno Hot Sausage" sure sounds good. Anybody send a case to Bill?

I get Jalapeno all the time down here, good POOPIE Maynard

For those members who didn't see it, following is an excerpt from the March 2004 Texas BBQ Rub Newsletter:

...We cooked a lot of Q. The total was 6 cases of brisket, 14 cases of spare ribs, 3 cases of Slovacek sausage, a whole hog, a case of pork loins, and a bunch of chickens. By the way, we get asked wherever we are cooking what kind of sausage we use. We always use the same sausage – Slovacek jalapeno sausage. We get so many compliments on the sausage I thought I would pass that along to everyone. I get it at Sam’s Club so check a Sam’s near you and if they don’t have it tell them to order some for their store or just call Slovacek Sausage in Snook, Texas and they can hook you up on some. They have shipped sausage to several of our readers and are a great bunch of folks to work with...

brdbbq, where you get it around dfw area? sam's?

still got a couple packs of venison jolly-cheese summer sausage from Hirsch's.

I just heard of it in the above newsletter that TK had posted. I was going to try Sam's, but Hirsch's will be hard to beat. Also at Hirsch's there is this Blonde in there that teaches a cooking class. If you ever get her cornered she has some great BOOBIES. I mean tips.

With regards to Central Market sausage I'm staying away from that $hit. Got burned last time.

They make some really good stuff. They are also some really nice folks. I had to stop by Snook not long ago to pick some stuff up on my way to DFW. There was a slight problem with my order and they did everything they could to make things right and not put me in a bind. That includes a follow up call the next day to make sure I had everything I needed. That's the kind of service you don't get often, these days.

Ill have to pick some up at sams here if they got it . we usually use windthorst jalapeno sausage from windthorst TX just down the road from me . It is damn good and made locally. I can pick it up at the meat market in windthorst or at united supermarkets here in town.

I've had them. They're good eats. I get them every once in a while.
