recipe for a spray baste for pork? Do or die I'm gonna start putting a lot more bark on my pork and I'd like to wham open the Backwoods and spray some kinda magic on em a few times before they are done. Also what kind of spray bottle works without stopping up after about ONE squirt as all mine seem to do???

I've been using equal parts apple juice, apple cider vinegar, evoo and good lowland or isle scotch whiskey (peaty).

As for spray bottles, I go to the dollar store for mine. Never had a problem but I rinse mine out every time to get the sticky gunk out.

i use a bit of my rub w/ a combo of evoo,cranberry & lemon juices,sprite,& jim beam redstag cherry bourbon(great bark & color)but i use a squirt bottle w/ a bit of the end nipped off.

Hmmmm, "a bit of the end nipped off" - that might just be the trick, I think I'll try that - can't hurt a squirt bottle.

It might look alarming to the other teams if you use it in a comp, but a small garden sprayer is less likely to get clogged than a spray bottle. The long spray arm can get in the back of the smoker too.
