• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Any ideas...

I have a beef arm roast that I do not want to roast on Fathers day..I want to BBQ it up....

I thought I would come here for some ideas on how to marinate it or a good rub for it.

Any ideas would be sweet....

thanks in advance

How big is it?

Anyway, do a search for chuck or chusck and you'll come up with lots of suggestions that would work fine. Here;s a very good smoked pot roast recipe that I like. you could also cook it like a brisket and then chop or pull it for great beef sammies. I seasoned a couple of chusck roasts a while back with Montreal Steak Seasoning and then cooked them until they hit about 190 and then foiled and coolered them for a couple of hours. Them I chopped them and tossed in some sauce for great sammiches.

Sweet thanks man....I will check that out ASAP

I cooked a couple of arm roasts on the WSM today. I just sprinkled them with S&P and a little granulated garlic and threw 'em on. I foiled at about 160 degrees, and took 'em up to 190 (like Ron suggests). Good eats for supper tonight. I usually just use whatever rub I've got handy on roasts (chusck or arm or whatever I've got), but didn't have any today so I went minimal. It's hard to go wrong, IMO.
