Howdy folks- I am a newbie here at the forum. Been a lurker here and other boards for several years and picked up a lot of useful info in my quest for good Que. I have been a runner, washer and a trimmer for a good friend for the past 2 years and really enjoyed the competition scene. I decided last year to start my own team for the 2007 season. We signed up for 4 competitions for this year. We have competed in 3 so far and are already looking forward to next year and trying to get better. We have a great group that works well together, and best of all, have a lot of fun, which is the best part. I have really enjoyed my short time on the BBQ scene and have learned a lot from the many great folks I have met along the way. (thanks Steve!) I do not think a friendlier group of “competitors” exists. I am continually pleased in how folks will go out of their way to help one another. In our short time on the circuit, it is how we have tried to conduct ourselves as well. I look forward to meeting many of you that I have read tips from on this and other forums over the years and hope to be able to repay for your knowledge in some way in the time to come. So I guess what I am saying is, I hope that we will cross paths in the future, if we do, please introduce yourselves, stop in, and have a cold drink, and lets get to know each other, although, I feel that we already do.
