HolySmoke
is one Smokin' Farker
Hello everybody,
Just introducing myself since i've been lurking for a bit and finally got around to the actual introducing....
I'm far from a pro, but I'm a pretty avid backyard chef. I've been cooking the last 4 years on my offset & my backyard fire pit i built not realizing the potential of what i was doing at the time.
I had the pleasure of cooking in the Battel of the BBQ Brethern in sayville with a newly formed team - "Out of the ashes BBQ" (maybe you remember our pig shirts & posters). We were "Keeping the BAR in barbecue" all wekend long & loved it. Not to mention we placed with ribs & wings, not high but we placed.
Anyway since that wonderful battle, I am now in the process of fabricating a new custom bbq. I figure 3 of us using 4 WSM's, (2) offsets, & a kettle it's got to be easier to manage.
Since then my wife, daughters, & family are all hooked into the competing world also (well at least the eating of all the non turn-in's).
I would also like to thank anyone & everyone who helped put the Battle together, it was one of the best new found experiences of my life.
Thanks.........
