Another new Long Island guy...

Hey all... Glad to be the newest(for now) member of the Brethren. Found out about the site after attending the KCBS judging class in Franklin Square, NY last week. I quickly noticed three or four of you guys proudly wearing your Brethren shirts .... Appears to be a great site with a great crew...

I'm 30 yrs old, married with a 2 yr. daughter. I live in Merrick, NY (raised in Brooklyn,NY). I've been BBQ'ing regularly since we bought our house last year and have our own yard. I have a Pitt's and Spitts smoker that I love and try to use/practice as often as I can. Hopefully, I'll be able to enter my first contest or two in 2006 if all things fall into place.

Been a BBQ fan since I was a teen after spending several summers in North Carolina and Tennesee with cousins who moved down there. Now, I'm finally getting to cook it on my own !!!

Look forward to learning a lot and adding my 2 cents when I can....
