• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Just looking through the threads of new members, and it seems that there are a lot of us from mid Missouri on the list. Bought my Bandara three weeks ago got it put together and seasoned last week. Still trying to find time to do the mods. Time is precious right now because of the current Little Legue season with my 7 year old and a 10 week old baby in the house.

Have big plans for the 4th of July this year. I will be popping the cherry that weekend and will be trying to provide 15 lbs of pulled pork for my family for the holiday. There will be 23 people (20 that are old enough to eat) at The Lake (Ozarks). Hopefully I can get it done the Friday night/Saturday before. If anyone has any suggestions (or wants to help) let me know.

Another MoFo! Aaaaaaaa!!!! :-D :-D

Welcome, Ronny!

Good luck on the maiden voyage! Take a look at the bandera 101 doc on our front page.

Welcome Ronny! Although I live in west central Missouri now, I grew up in California, MO!

Welcome to the fray, brother MOFO!

Welcome aboard ronnyb, enjoy what you learn and share what you know, it's what we do here.

Welcome aboard. I too live in the Columbia area. There are a few us on here so if you need some help just holler!!

Welcome Ronny.
I'm in your backyard, PM Spice or BellyBro or myself if you need help or advise.

If you don't do the firegrate mod before your big cook, you'll burn about 3 times as much fuel......you could do a temp. baffle out of foil. Without some of the mods, you're looking at a long 1st cook, aprox. 2 hours per lb.

my opinion, and a 'dera owner.......
