Well, I did it again. I injected and rubbed, threw it in the icebox to let it get happy. Then I got (more) happy. And then it was 6:30 am. If I had a dollar for every time... Anyhow, I got it on by 7:30, but am wondering if I may need to bust out the crutch later in the day. Either way, I am not going to muck with the temp. We'll see how the day progresses.

Flat is at 164. Let the plateau begin.

Yeah getting there when they're closing is probably not the best. The brisket is still wicked good...just not as nice. By the way I did the same thing with the getting happy... I have now also gone through my whole pack of bacon I grabbed too....which is more happiness.
