• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

An old Bandera, a hunk of pork, now I'm hooked.

Greetings,

I'm a lifetime lover of good barbq, but never tried much of the "indirect" cooking until recently. I've always loved grilling, but that was the extent until my wife found a bandera someone was giving away about a year ago. Found out that barbq isn't that strenous and a great way to enjoy the back deck. But my poor bandera had seen better days and in desperate needs of a more loving owner. That's what brought me to this great forum. I needed more information on how to make the 'beast' work better.

So I'm in the process of upgrading my old smoker and learning more about what makes 'great' barbq. I've already learned quite a bit and found out what I've been doing wrong. I'm a long way from the circuit, but I've got lots of patience....

Sorry no pictures yet of my companion, I haven't found its 'good side' that would make a respectable photo.

(Thanks Phil, we finally got it working).
