• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

ABT Tool with Pron

I've got one of these...and they work great!

You can bend it for the smaller peppers. Don't know what I'd do without it...kinda like my Super Fast RED Thermapen...a must for my madness.

SCORE! - Williams Sonoma store just down the street. Bought two for $9 each, since I saved the ~ $6 shipping everyone wanted online. Thanks for the tip. I have used the other tools shown here, and think this one will be superior for 90% of the peppers I do. The 10% of mutant peppers don't work well with any one technique.

Hate to burst your bubble, I paid $3.45

Oh, it doesn't. Yours is a completely different tool from the one I bought. The design I bought retails for $8-9 just about anywhere you want to buy one. I checked thoroughly. I simply saved the shipping.

We had been using the straight design, pictured in this thread in a few different variations, for some time. We usually found ourselves reaching for a serrated "pit spoon" over that straight design.

The Iron Desert version posted by Norcoredneck breaks down like this:

Item: $4.00
UPS standard shipping: $11.86
Total: $15.86

The Wal-Mart item might be worth looking at, since it is $8.45 cheaper than a top of the line name brand set with a corer like I bought, but I am very satisfied with what I paid for the design and quality corer I chose. Your mileage may vary, but generally one gets what one pays for.

I got this one for 2 dollars I think from my local grocery store. It saves me SO much time. I have to buy the straight peppers though for it to work the best.

I usually just jab my finger in there and pull it all out... then I rub my eyes alot with the pepper juice so that the tears keep me from seeing what a bad job I've done...

I'll be grabbing one of the set ups like Norco showed... $15 ain't a bad price at all!
