• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

Now that the season is in full swing. Who;s coming up here? I'm in the neighborhood and hope ot make it over. Never heard about my first judging event so probably will be around to kibbitz. Scott

Very cool. gotta get a brethern shirt so I can figures you all out. will be there to wander and talk. anybody need anything? Any help?? Scott

We are going to try to pull it together in time. Does anyone know how many teams were there last year? I couldn't find much info on the website. Any room to pitch a tent?

We just dropped our check in the mail and are looking forward to our first non-grilling competition! Anyone else making the trip?

I will be there to hang out or judge or if anyone needs a pit bitch i work for vodka

We will not be at Hudson Valley because we are cooking at New Holland the week after. Back to back contests will surely have me sleeping on the family room sofa.

I'll be there judging both days. Scott did you get the email from Mike Fleck. I will send it to you either way it went out last week. See yall there

Perhaps MikeFick can confirm, but it looks as though Adam Perry Lang will also be competing. I received an email confirming that our check was received and Adam was also on the email list. Even more great talent to beat the pants off of us in our first KCBS competition! should be educational.

Can anyone provide me with info about late saturday check in times? Is this contest still open?

I just got the call that my new truck is at the dealership and I am finally ready to hit the circuit!!

When are most of you planning on arriving? My thought is to arrive Saturday afternoon/evening but there is nothing on the website about evening checkins.

You should e-mail Mike or Stephanie to confirm what the last check in time will be, but I believe one of the e-mails stated something to the effect of teams are set up on Sat. they are not allowing anyone else to enter the site with vehicles. I'm guessing they were not planning on Sat evening arrivals.

I had to correspond to them when the e-mail came out this week that the cooks meeting for the grilling event on Sat was going to be held Friday evening instead of Sat morning per the contest reps. Since I was not planning to arrive until early Sat morning, I did not know how closely they were going to enforce the "mandatory" cooks meeting..

I was not even sure if I am still going to do any of the grilling entries, but if the Friday meeting was going to be monitored, I wanted to know if I would be given a refund for the grilling entry fee based on the change of schedule.

Luckily, they e-mailed the contest reps and they said it was OK if I arrived early Sat and would talk to me during the grilling meat inspection.

Congrats on the new truck! We are going early saturday so we can get settled. Stop by when you get there, though. We've got a ton of seafood coming from FLA and will have plenty to eat sat night. Obviously the same offer goes for all the brethren heading to new paltz!

It would be a real push to be ready for Saturday morning, I was never very confident the truck would be on time (it was scheduled for delivery monday). So I have not registered for the contest.

I am itching to pack the truck and go but it I need to see what kind of mood the wife is in after tomorrow, because right now she is experiencing a bit of "buyer's remorse". The reality of the expense hit her hard after a tough days work. Hopefuly tommorow she will be excited to take a little road trip in the new toy.

Definitely don't push to get there early. You are welcome to hang out with us whenever you arrive! I'll be the one sweating, doing all of the work, while the rest of the team drinks and relaxes :)

come hang with us we'll be the team drinking and relaxing while everybody else works and sweats
