A good deal or crap?

I need your assistance.

I have been keeping an eye on Craigslist for a used WSM. Yesterday I came across this beast. The guy says it's electric and uses chips for smoke.

I have searched the web high and low and can not find this particular unit anywhere.

The guy only wants $25 for it.

Any thoughts?

Looks a lot like the Lhur-Jessen Big Chief electric smoker I have. I smoked a lot of good meals on it prior to the purchaser of my Bandera last year. It has since been converted to wood and charcoal and sees only limited use. Mainly just use it for smoking salmon and lake trout now.

BTW. I'd offer the guy $15 but would probably pay $25 if I had to.

mook, I think Neil is right. It looks like a Lhur-Jessen Big Chief. They do work, I have one. They are designed for cool smoking. Only get up to 165 degrees or so.

Aight so I've been thinking about ways to smoke fish, cheese and/or nuts, so this may be the way to go.
