• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

74 lbs of crawfish for an early weekend

Just did 40* brought by the in-laws this past weekend from Louisiana, cooked. First time I have had the critters. They do taste good but an awful lot of work to get to them. Anyway, I think if you have an afternoon to spend and a keg of beer you should be fine. Sounds like you're in for a good time. Enjoy!

MY GAWD MAN!!!!

You didn’t even extend an invitation!!!!

Can’t WAIT to see how this cook turns out!!!

Looks great! Hope they were as good as they looked.

I've never seen people eat crawfish with gloves. I'm used to getting messy lol

Once you learn how to eat them and as long as they are cooked right they are super easy to eat. Way easier than boiled shrimp! Love me some crawfish and beer.

Thanks guys. First batch came out good for the kids. Second batch was perfect for the adults. The Rocket Pot made really quick work of both sacks. It not for the mess, they’re for the smell. The gloves are a trick we picked up on when the kids were babies. We’d be in the middle of eating and of course the kids would start crying, pooping, or hungry. Easy way to “clean hands” and care for the kids. It just always stuck with us and we got the rest of the family hooked. It keeps the smell of the hands. After a third gallon of liquid boil and 9 lbs of seasoning (second sack) that smell stays on the hands no matter how much you wash or what you wash with. Keeps the salt from tearing the hands up too. Wife really enjoyed spending time with her sister.

I swear I’m just going to buy a ticket, fly out there and just hang out with you.

Damn!

That looked so good that I had to fix the pic !

That looks like a great evening.

Even better yet was that it was fun for the whole family.

Great photos!

You had me at "74 lbs of crawfish".

Sounds like a great party!

Oh, ya! I need some...I miss Louisiana now. We never used gloves, I use them for all sorts of stuff now.
