• xenforo has sucessfully updated our forum software last night. Howevr, that has returned many templates to stock formats which MAY be missing some previous functionality. It has also fixed some boroken templates Ive taken offline. Reat assured, we are working on getting our templates back to normal, but will take a few days. Im working top down, so best bet is to stick with the default templates as I work thru them.

What is everyone doing for the 4th?

I'll be doing a couple butts, burgers & dogs. We're also celebrating my older daughter's 3rd birthday (which is really on the 3rd).

I will be making 1 pork butt, 1 brisket, sausage, and some A.B.Ts, and some sweet breads.

Two six pound Italian fatties, stuffed with moz. cheese, red, green, and yellow bell peppers, onions, roasted garlic, mild banana peppers, rub down. Maybe a slab or two to keep with tradition.

Will be cooking Brisket, Chicken, and Spares on the Smokemaster....Getting geared up for my fist comp as a competitor on July 20! Probably will cook before th 4the and after as well!!

I'm thinking a twenty one beer can chicken salute!!!!
(Unopened beer mod)

Gonna be doing two butts and one packer on the WSM -- should be interesting since I have only used the top grate to date.

Undecided, but something I can cook on the 4th and take to the lake on Friday morning. Might be brisket, might be a butt.

I'm sure you know this but...

I would suggest putting the packer on the top rack and wedging it between the handles.

neighbor is buying a bunch of butts for me to cook for his party. Also gonna do some Cevapcici

Im undecided as well. But rest assured, a fire will be lit and meat will be smoking.

Oh, and a beer or 12 will be drank too.

Gonna do a modified version of this Kiawe Chicken...
http://virtualweberbullet.com/chicken3.html I was gonna do it this weekend but my wife wanted cedar planked Copper River Salmon...couldn't argue wth that! LOL! Instead of Kiawe wood I'm gonna use mesquite chunks. :icon_shy

I'm going to make Turkey Club Sandwiches and then make homemade ice cream. It going to be a hot week. :icon_smil

Gonna do 6 racks of babybacks, burgers, hotdogs, hot links and grill some shrimp. I may stuff some peps if I get in the mood in the AM of the 3rd. Since I will be on the 3rd. That will be cooking day. On the 4th, I will just warm stuff up and serve. This way I get a chance to rest.

Any suggestions on a new presentation for grilled shrimps? I normally just pop them on the graters and cook em up. I then mix up a garlic butter sauce pour over and serve.

Still up in the air

Was going to pick up a brisket today, but the light changed and it was going to be 5 minutes in the heat of the day, so I kept going.

Only Costco carries then in the immediate area.
