26" UDS Questions

OK,

Going to get parts together this week for my 26"W x 45" H drum smoker.
I have been using the standard 22.5" W x 34" H drum with good results but want something larger and also a little more space between meat and fire.
Any suggestions or pointers is appreciated. I am going to order the Weber grates Monday hinged grates or standard -- any preferences ?

Do they cook any different than the standard drums ?

I have 1 25 1/2 " grate - grill brand new, let me know if you are interested.

I would look at the specs of the Big Drum Smokers and plan your build around them.
