Wow, I'm surprised I've never tried to make these before. Gotta say NEVER EVER EVER am I going to buy Totinos pizza rolls again if I can help it. Also you know exactly what's in them doing them yourself.

This is perfect to cook over a fire like this because the fire light really made them crispy! Oh my these two dozen are going quick, looks like round two is coming later tonight. :biggrin1:

I made them a little spicier too...added a little more red pepper flakes to the pizza sauce and some ground red pepper.

These started off in the roti basket but they were started to get jacked up sliding around (silly idea) so they got moved to the swivel dome.

Those look great. Made with egg rolls?

Looks great. Got an interior shot?

Let me ask though, under what circumstances would you be forced to buy totinos? You said "if you could help it" you wouldn't buy them anymore.

This is a great idea, Keith.

They look delicious (and I, too, would appreciate a look behind the wonton wrapper).

*chuckle* at Mr. Tony's comment above...

Well say I'm on vacation with no grill, food processor etc... and I had the munchies :biggrin1: Yes I might buy some.

No interior shot...they're long gone :bolt: Next time I will

Are you keeping all these images in a 007 collection scrapbook? Quite the diverse assortment of cooks. You did a banana bread once on the 007? Am I recalling that right?

Well I have lots of them in a album on photobucket. Yes banana bread, corn bread to pizzas, and burgers to brisket. There's just so many ways to set up to cook different ways and in different zones.

Oh I forgot, they got sprayed with olive oil on both sides with the Misto Olive oil sprayer.

Olive oil sprayer?? Oh my...
Where normally you'd have to brush olive oil on each side the sprayer did it in a few seconds and very evenly. The misto is an often used kitchen/grill tool!

Man, I was eating a bag of totinos pizza rolls the other day and said "I gotta figure out how to make a better version of these"..... They don't taste the same, nothing does. I'm a young one still (turning 30) but seems like everything I've ate as a kid isn't the same anymore

Was going through idea's for the pocket. My first thought was wonton wraps. I take it the wonton wraps turned out great? what did you fill the pizza rolls with? Sorry if I missed that part if you said before.

Oh yea they turned out fantastic! First get the sauce exactly how you want it but use a puree for the base. I did pepperoni but what ever you use it has to be ran through the food processor including the cheese.

My sauce was really close to totinos but a little spicier with added red pepper. Only use like a 1/2 teaspoon of each ingredient of the sauce, meat and cheese or other wise it won't fold right. I put them in the fridge for a bit to setup and then sprayed with the olive oil.

You know how some totinos rolls have a lot of stuffing and some have basically nothing? Well with this size it's just enough with the 1/2 tea spoon if that makes sense. If you extend the wrapper like rogue suggested you could fit more in....I'll experiment with that today for a few jumbo size but the little ones are incredible. The 007 is a great baking oven and they were crispy little suckers, Definitely a real treat!

I'll do some later today and take pictures of my folding steps if you want.
