Well, I did my first cooking on my BGE XL....all I can say is, WOW!

I was experimenting last night with different veggies and a grass fed ribeye....yum!
However, I found out the hard way, that my leather grill gloves I had were quite insufficient for the high heats that the BGE...
Yup after years of fumbling with the big ol' Mitts they are retired for my Glovens.

I put them through the paces over the past few months and I have to say they are very functional and practical. Some of you may have seen them already on my Facebook page without the ProQ...
Just ordered "The Barbecue Bible" by Steven Raichlen. Also picked up a pair of his Insulated Food Gloves gloves. Good for 248 degrees. I wanted something easy that I could just wash off in the sink with soap & water.
