    First Run On the Texas Original Pits - Pearsall

    Just got this sweet thang for $700 (1849 retail). Prior owner used a dozen times. Took her for a test run tonight. Didn't smoke any meat, but wanted to play with the stick burner just to see what it could do since I've never owned one. Being 20-25 degrees outside here, it was a good opportunity...

    I'm waiting on my firewood to be cut so i can go pick it up, but i couldn't wait any longer to fire up this monster i built in my backyard. She's somewhat temporary, and dry stacked, but once i work out all the kinks of cooking this way, I'm gonna re-stack her with a solid foundation and mortar...

    Pumped about a Stumps!

    Well, if all goes well, come Monday I'll be the proud papa of a new-to-me Stumps Baby! I'm really pumped about this. Quick question to the Brethren: How easy/difficult would it be to load the Baby into a pickup truck? I know it has some heft but could a couple guys hoist it in safely? Cheers, R.
