After getting the new smoker home I decided to pass on the XXLUDS to my father-in-law. He will be taking it to one of the airports he works at where his flying club has several BBQs a year.
This big guy was built a few years ago as an experiment just to see if I could do it. He has served me well through several chickens, butts, briskets, ribs etc. He gave it all he had to cook for my daughters wedding last May. Churning out butts at brisket a full case at a time. He worked an 18 hour shift then turned around and pulled a 24 cook turning out some damn fine grub and making the new bride both happy and proud. So now old friend, I pass you off to my father-in-law, I know you will serve him and all who gather to the best of your ability.

It's tough to say so-long to a friend like that (sniff), but at least you got visitation rights I hope .
