A good, easy to make rub IMO

This is Al Roker's Championship Rub. I have been using it for years doing BB's in the oven before I knew about Q - still one of my wife's faves - should be able to get adobo at a Latin Market. For Chili powder, I am using a medium hot Dixon New Mexican. However, you can try any chile powder you like on this one. Very surprised I have never seen it mentioned here on the forum. Give it a try and post your opinions - I will be curious to see if anyone else likes it:mrgreen:

1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ground black pepper
1/2 cup salt
1/2 cup adobo
3/4 cup paprika
3/4 cup chili powder
2 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons allspice
 
Looks good.. Seen Al Roker do a bunch of BBQ segments on Food Network a few years back..

Interesting that he calls it "Championship" though :roll:
