Extra racks in a Traeger
Has anyone tried to put a extra rack in your Traeger to get more room. If so, any pics?
Thanks Dan

Which model? I did this bang up job of fabrication for my 075, man it takes guts to show pictures of this work!. You dont even need to do that. Depending on how much height you need just put a couple of bricks on each side and lay a grill on it. You could weld brackets inside and lay grill on it, or drill some holes and put brackets on each side at different heights. Lots of options!

I have the Pro 124. Can you cook Butts on both levels of your cooker?

Depending on the size yes, the big one you have to squeez them in like Tokyo subway pusher, but it can be done.

I bought the Traeger shelf thingie when I bought my Lil' Tex.
I was in a hurry--cost about 80 bucks or so They work pretty good for thin things like ribs (spares, not baby backs), chicken, ABT's, etc. You can put a bunch of small stuff in there. But.. you need to use some sort of racks for smaller items like chicken, ABT's, etc or they are a PITA to move in/out or adjust. Something you can slide a bunch of items in/out at one time is the trick. I have plenty of bakers racks I use anyway, so it has not bothered me----yet! Now that I am wizer---I would just find a grid that fit and put some "legs" on it. One shelf should work fine. Good luck. TIM
