Two spatchcock birds...one with Yardbird the other with Rudy's Poultry Rub... Not bad for the first time:!:

Nice!! Both have excellent color! Time/temps? What did you cook them on? They look like some hefty chickens!

Bout 2 1/2 hours and roughly 300. My Chargriller was fluxuated with the wind and cold temps! Pulled it off the smoker around 180 degrees.
 
How is that Rudy's rub? We have one a couple miles up the road, but I haven't tried the chicken.

Not bad:|...there seems to be alot of pepper is his rubs. It went well with the moinks and ok with the chicken. It was nice change of pace.
 
I like the Rudy's poultry rub.....nice looking birds. Try the rub under the skin too. Start at each breast half, each side separate and work back to the leg with your fingers. T
